The Best Amps Under 1000 For A Rockin’ 2022
How do you determine which car amplifiers are the best amps under 1000 for a rockin’ 2021? Is anyone willing to buy a car amplifier at that price point? How can you ensure that you’ll get your money’s worth?
Since we’ve already done a best amp under $500, we’ve decided to just include car amplifiers valued at approximately $501 to $999 to shorten the list.
Had we not done that, we would have ended up with almost a hundred entries in this article. More considerations were made to make this list shorter. Build quality, sound quality, power efficiency, installation ease, these were some of the factors we considered to get the best amps under 1000.
A lot of entries were tossed out, brought back in, re-examined, and tossed back out again. We initially had fifty on this list, but we wanted to cut it down even further to at least half that.

How We Did This Survey
Coming out with a long list of products is definitely a very exhausting process. We spent a lot of time over the holidays to compile a list of the best amps under 1000 in the market today. What we initially ended up with is over a hundred entries vying for the top spot.
We can’t have that, right? After all, we’re looking for the best amps under 1000. Now, I don’t know about you, but a hundred entries in one article is definitely a challenge to digest. So we had to make up a few qualifiers to include the ones you’ll see in the list below. Here’s what we came up with:
The Price Had To Be Between $500.01 And $999.99
Since this is a list espousing the best amps under 1000, we had to create a cap. That cap was $999.99. Anything over that price point was eliminated from our search.
We still ended up with over a hundred entries with that cap in place—156 entries, to be exact.
So, another consideration had to be made. Since we already had an article devoted to choosing the best amps under 500, we set the price range consideration to amps over $501 and under $999. That helped us greatly reduce the number to less than what it originally was.
But we still had a lot on our hands. We wanted to pare down the list just to include the very best amps under 1000. So, next came the build quality.
Build Quality And Aesthetic Appeal
You don’t want to spend a large chunk of money on a product you’re going to end up hating, right? You also don’t want to get something that’s just going to break down quickly. Lastly, who wants to ruin their car cabin’s appeal with an ugly piece of equipment?
So we decided to lump these two together simply because the best amps under 1000 have to have an awesome build quality. An awesome build quality is going to translate into a piece of equipment that’s pleasing to the eyes.
Now we’re not talking about your car amplifier being all shiny just to grab your attention. There has to be something underneath that façade that makes it a solid buy for your money. After all, spending more than $500 for a car amplifier has to result in something spectacular, right?
How Easy Is It To Install?
The best amps under 1000 also need to be the easiest to install in your car. Whether you want to display it or keep it hidden, installing your car amplifier should be an easy task. Everything has to come in the box. Screws, rubber pads, and some basic tools are just a few of the extra stuff that come with most of these amps we’ve included in the list.
How Many Channels Does It Have?
The best amps under 1000 have to offer more than just your regular single or dual channel. In fact, it should be at least 5 channels. We wanted this to be one of the criteria, but then again, some car amplifiers don’t necessarily have 5 channels and yet still provide what the regular consumer needs.
Can You Bridge It?
How much power is too much power? Apparently not enough for the most hardcore audiophile with a rocking car system! For most people, 300 watts RMS is enough. But what if you want to go any higher? Well, you’ll be glad to know that most of the examples in this best amps under 1000 list can easily go over that.
And if you bridge it, you can get even more!
This is just one of the benefits of having a bridgeable car amplifier. It just opens up a lot of options for you. This is the reason why the best amps under 1000 have these features.

Rockford is the pioneer in car audio engineering. Since 1973, the company borne out of one man’s dream to provide high-quality audio systems to regular consumers has churned out products that have reached all parts of the globe. It was Jim Fosgate who discovered that our ears perceived music in a different sense.
This lead to the creation of the frequency energizer, which was eventually renamed to punch EQ. This would boost the bass and treble settings resulting in better audio quality for our ears. These components eventually found their way into the modern car amplifier that you and I have in our vehicles.
